Hello Off Grid supporters, Spring is in the air! We are excited to share that
early bird ticket sales for Off Grid Festival 2018 are now OPEN! (subject to limited availability)
You’ll notice that this year we have a change of venue and will be hosting Off Grid Festival 2018 at Tapeley Park Estate in North Devon. We’re hoping this will not prove too much of a barrier to our Exeter fans, and that you will tell your friends further North about what Off Grid has to offer!
As ever, Off Grid is a place to come together with like-minded folk, building a sense of community around the idea that ANOTHER WORLD IS POSSIBLE. Off Grid’s focus on a shared experience of what a sustainable future might look and feel like is encapsulated in our new holding organisation – The Association of Resilient Living. This new initiative will offer opportunities to get involved with local round-the-year events, so if this sounds like you, read more about us here.
Why the change of venue? Well, although we have loved our two years at the Biophilia Project, they have other commitments this year. We’d like to thank John, the custodian, for the warm welcome he has extended to us and we wish him well with his new ventures. He invites you to keep in touch with the Biophilia Project and pop by for tea sometime 🙂
Our new hosts at Tapeley Park and Gardens in North Devon are perfectly suited to support many of our favourite activities, as well as enabling fresh opportunities. We look forward to adventuring in their ancient woodland, tours of the house and learning from their mature permaculture gardens. We will even get to enjoy some of their organically-grown fruits (and vegetables) in our exciting new Festival Cafe. The estate owner, Hector Christie, is a lifelong social and political activist, but he assures us that his ancestors would approve of what he is doing with the estate!
There’ll be more news about workshops, performers and opportunities for taking part in upcoming emails, but for now, head on over to our website and get your early bird ticket NOW!
One last thing, we are now open for your pitches for stalls, workshops, music and volunteering, so if you have a song to share, a venue you can offer, some decor to offer a food stall to bring or a pair of hands to pitch in, you’ll find all the relevant info on the website. If there’s anything we’ve missed, drop a line to Roxy, our Festival Co-Ordinator and she’ll pass you on to the right department.
SEE YOU IN THE FIELD!
