Hello Off Gridders, Diggers, Dreamers, Believers and Hippies!
After a long and much-needed rest over the winter months we are delighted to announce Off Grid is back!
What is Off Grid?
For those of you who are new to this festival, Off Grid is a volunteer-run sustainability event in its 10th year! People from all walks of life come together who wish to make practical changes to the way we live with one another and the environment around us come together to show how another world is possible. Over four days, together we create a bubble of sharing, learning and community that we can take a part back into our normal lives.
Want to come to the festival?
Tickets are already on sale, with early bird tickets still available, so get in there quickly to bag yourself a bargain. If you want to join our crew as a volunteer, then just hold out a few more days until the form goes live. In the meantime you can always say hello via the contact page and register your interest
Want to join in?
Applications for Speakers and Workshops and Traders and Stallholders for Off Grid 2019 at Tapeley Park, North Devon, are now open!
The deadline for first round applications is the 30th April 2019 so make sure you’re in the game. We are excited to hear from you and want to thank everyone who has signed up already to create this year’s cutting edge programme.
If you are a musician and want to apply to play at Off Grid, do get in touch via our contact page.
We welcome knowledgeable speakers and workshop facilitators who teach about off grid technologies, alternative ways of living and thinking, permaculture, eco-building, holistic health and community, and anything else that will help make the world a better place. So if you are an educator, an expert, a seeker and sharer of truth, or just want to teach people about a beautiful thing, come and join the community as a contributor.
If you are an artisan crafts person, a maker of natural health products, if you trade ethical clothing or organic whole foods, if you are a healer or therapist, and you have something beautiful to offer then bring your craft to place where the love and hard work that goes into it will be seen and valued. Become part of Off Grid as a trader and help shape our event landscape.
The Festival Site
Like last year we will be learning from Tapeley’s mature permaculture gardens and enjoying some of their organically-grown fruit and vegetables in the Tapeley Cafe. We will have use of their ancient woodland where children (young and old) get to enjoy the wildness of the wild woods; There will be fires, bows and arrows, climbing, carving and clay-making.
The large front lawns provide breathtaking views of Bideford Bay and are perfect for an afternoon stroll stopping of at workshops, intriguing talks, to dance to some music, or abandoning all plans to chat to an interesting and like-minded stranger.
Most of all, we will relax, revive and find hope that in this world that we live in there is lots of good stuff for those who look for it.
