Minimalism, Simplicity and Slowing Down for Parents
with Mother Nature Mother NurtureFri 10th, 9:30 am - 11:00 am at Plotting Shed
A festival, like any holiday and change of scene, is a good chance to breathe, take a step back and look at the lifestyle you have created for your family. Do you have time in your weekly routine to sit, to be joyful, to listen, to connect, to restore? How can you slow down and build in more pauses? We will explore practical ways to simplify - Your mind, your schedule and your environment. We will touch on homeschooling too if you would like to learn more about it.

What are you end goals for your child? What effect does your communication have on the end goals for your child? How do you communicate with these end goals in mind?
Intentional, positive, empowering communication is a big topic but this workshop will touch on building an awareness, we will explore how to communicate authentically without manipulations such as bribes, threats, punishments (even strong tone or stern look) or repetition.
The goal is to end up confidently and regularly creating win-win situations where both you and your child's feelings and needs are acknowledged (inspired by NVC). Please bring your communication questions.

Radical Self Care for Parents
with Mother Nature Mother NurtureSun 12th, 9:30 am - 11:00 am at Plotting Shed
In this workshop, we go beyond the myth of hot baths and candles when burnt out and look at how we can create sustainable practices that support us physically, mentally and emotionally and spiritually.
We look at our own internal barometers - are we responding or reacting, are we relying on caffeine, are we using distractions like social media or movies rather than facing our issues, how do we feel when we wake up?
