with Maja Lelandais & Lorri Stamp
Time: Sun 12th, 1:20 pm – 2:20 pm
Location: Nourish Tent
Bhajan in Sanskrit means sharing, in particular relation to spiritual songs conveying love for the Divine. This session is open to anyone who would like to join a circle and sing or play along to Bhajan-inspired music. Bhajans typically have simple lyrics with repeating choruses and melodic rhythm. No previous experience is needed, the emphasis being on singing from the heart as one rather than on any particular form. Lyrics and a selection of musical instruments will be provided, but participants can bring their own instruments if they wish. This is an experimental session exploring the potential to develop regular monthly gatherings with a particular emphasis on its use to ‘profit’ the soul with little or no cost for participation.
