The Zigzag Collective
The Zigzag Collective have been creating and growing together for the past five years. Based at the old Morlands site at Beckery Island, Glastonbury; The crew of men, women, children, cats and dogs are creating crafts, arts and off-grid machines from up-cycled materials.
They make rocket stoves and bio-char burners- then cook the pumpkins they grow to eat at Friday-Night Food Nights.
They will attempt to ferment anything- then they sing and dance to their own instruments and will always try and help those that pass on through.
Off Grid Festival has been a vital birthing place for The Zigzag collective. Friendships and working relationships were born there in previous years. Tin Village held a hands on participatory, resilience space at the festival which some of the crew were part of, which became a meeting space for like minded souls. Building Man, a build it yourself mini festival that merged with Off Grid saw friendships made and triggered ideas on how to do things differently on the festival scene.
