The Hearth is a sacred space which will host Off Grid’s opening and closing ceremonies.
How can we nurture the rich tapestries of meaning handed down by our ancestors in these tumultuous times? What world will we deliver to our children’s children? What stories will be told of our Great Turning?
The Hearth will be a place of music, song and story; of contemplation and deep discussion. A place to connect with friends, neighbours and community. A place for warmth and tranquility and just a bit of wild abandon…we hope!
We hope you find time to enjoy this sacred space.
Allan Kerr – Shumba Arts

Allan’s drum circle is a fully participative experience and welcomes drummers from all backgrounds and of all levels. Allan teaches djembe rhythms as well as drawing on a range of other African traditions to create a hands on musical experience in the moment. Depending on the demand, we may teach something specific, we may completely improvise or we may spend time playing games to develop our general rhythmic awareness. Come and find your groove! Some drums available to use, bring one if you have one.
